US & GLOBAL: Today, the picture following tge overnight raid ranks from being the most grim to as near devastating as possible. Based on reports received from Israel, the Israeli IDF search for Hamas militants hiding inside an entrenched region of the facility's underground turned up munitions, weapons and infrastructure previously unknown by the IDF. On Friday, the evidence of Israel's IDF raid conducted overnight struck fear among the more than 7000 people , civilians, seeking refuge inside the Al-Shifa during the Israeli-Hamas violent conflict.

The IDF statements made to the hospital and the news medai indicated that no civilians were targeted by the specially assigned tactical troops that entered the Al-Shifa before day on Friday.

Inside the hospital, as troops searched Hamas trenches, there was gunfire heard throughout the halls and the atmosphere filling with the haze of smoke bore evidence of some form of blast-- perhaps explosives that would break open the walls that separated Hamas militants from their new found peril at the hand of IDF forces.

Weapons were the best evidence located by IDF forces and few members of the Hamas remained situated in the basement trenches of the al-Shifa. Those among Hamas militants who were found by Israel's special troops were either engaging in combat with IDF and, ultimately, killed or captured.

Despite evidence that Hamas had long taken over a portion of the Al-Shifa as its hideaway post, there were also witnesses who provided significant information in regard to the presence of the Hamas militia having set up camp in the hospital's underground. Amid the breaking mortar and falling debris, one man who had been hired to work at the Sl-Shifa commented in reference to warnings he received from higher- ups who instructed him to stay clear of a certain corridor of the facility , the employer adding that, if the employee entered into the shutoff region he would be shot. In the IDF raid that last, seemingly, for hours, appeared to maintain its promise to protect or, at the very least, avoid any harm being brought against civilian refugees.
