3 House Republicans & 1 Democrat Set To Congress & Will Not Run in 2024


NATION: Americans looking forward to voting in the 2024 General election should be informed of a number of candidacy changes. Particularly in the state of Texas as, two Republican meembers of the House will resign and will not seek re-election in 2024.




Today, as Democrats promote the hope for diminishing Republican lead in the U.S. Congress, it appears the Dems might get their wish. Announced on Monday, Congressmsn Michael Burgess and Patrick Fallon have announced their decision to lrave the House.





Burgess, a former IB-Gyn doctor in znorth Texas commented in regard to his gratitude for having represented the Dallas area since his election to the House in 2002. The 72 year old congressman has suggested that he might enter into the 2024 US Senate race.


Patrick Fallon, a 2 year Congressman and lifelong Republican will vacate the House as the 5th member of the GOP to announce retirement and resignation. Fallon leaves the House following an investigation surrounding allegation of the junior Congressman's unsavory financial dealings.





In 2021 , an statement made by the OCE indicated that Fallon filed late taxes declaring more than 17 million in earnings. Fallon was charged with violations of the Stock Act. The 50 year old Texas Congressman announced he will not run in the 2024 General election.


While there are a total of 4 GOP members of Congress men and women who will not seek re-election in November 2024 ,



the current team for most will conclude in 2025. The list of 2 additional Republicans includes 80 year old Tx Republican Kay Granger and one Democrat, 40 year old Colin Allred.
