Massachusetts: Harvard Business Professor Resigns Role w/ Antisemitism Task Force

STATE & NATIONAL: On Tuesday, a report from Massachusetts and Harvard University describes a situation that developed following the eruption of alleged anti-Semitic activity on Harvard's administrative level. Today, the report involving the resignation of Rafaella Sadun, a business administration professor and anti-Semitism advocate submitted to abdicating her position with the university's Antisemitism Task Force.

By Anne M. Erbynstein " I am grateful to have had the opportunity to advance the vital work to combat anit-Semitism...I will continue to support efforts to tackle anti-Semitism at Harvard from my faculty position..."-- Rafaella Sadun, Harvard University Professor of Business Administration

Dissatisfied with the current state of the Harvard ATF's response to that which Sadun appears to claim have been the overarching anti-Semitic activities that have taken shape on the Harvard cam[pus, the co-chair of the Harvard ATF made her decision based on the apparent failed implementation of "...swift measures to combat anti-Semitism." While it remains unclear whether former Harvard President Gay took a permanent leave of resigned her administrative position, the position was taken up by Sadun after appointment by former President Gay's successor Alan Garber. Today, Garber announced that Sadun left her duties with the Harvard AFT for reasons associated with her desire to focus on research in managerial and organizational productivity and administrative responsibilities.

At Harvard, Rafaella Sadun had performed duties as a Charles E Wilson professor of business administration. Sadun also Co-Chaired the Harvard Business School’s Project on Managing the Future of Work and acted as Co-PI of the Digital Reskilling Lab. In regard to Rafaella's change in her position as Co-Chairperson of the Anti-Semitic Task Force, the apparent resignation follows the lack of response by Harvard to a subpoena issued by the US House requesting documents involving the university's investigation of anti-Semitism on campus. Following the House subpoena and the very evident lack of response to the committee's subpoena, Garber has indicated that an investigation and research will be further conducting "...information gathering, and research, including listening sessions, surveys, and historical analysis.." The House has not indicated whether any further steps may be taken involving the matter at issue involving the failed Harvard anti-Semitism Task Force subpoena response.
