US President Biden Prepares To Issue Ukraine It's Portion of Military Aid

POLITICS: Today, US President Joe Biden announced plans for ensuring that Ukraine receives the military aid approved last week by Congress. Just hours ago from the White House, President Biden contacted Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky to tell him that the requested military aid will be issued.

By Michelle Crawford-Sapenter The US has formed its "[L]asting commitment to supporting Ukraine as it defends its freedom against Russian aggression...." the President added mthat the US will "maintain financial stability, build back critical infrastructure following Russian attacks, and support reform as Ukraine moves forward on the path of Euro-Atlantic integration". It has the potential to be revered as the fight of the century--a battle that has been won by the United States. After months of negotiations , stalls and stop-gaps, President Joe Biden has won the sought after funding in the way of military aid that will be provided Ukraine. In Congress, last week, Mike Johnson and a bipartisan House approved $95billion dollars in military and humanitarian aid. While the aid funding will be provided to Ukraine, Israel, Haiti and Taiwan, Ukraine may be the recipient of several billion dollars to continue its fight against Russia. For decades, Russia has stood alongside the United States and the 2nd world power. Following the nuclear non-proliferation agreement, the position Russia now hold exceeds that of a number of nations, including some enjoined with the US in NATO in its internationally coveted arsenal of nuclear armory. The administration has approved of more air defense systems for Kyiv, the substance of which will be effective in fending off Russian air strikes attacks. Biden , now, awaits a response by the US Senate in regard to its approval of the $95billiobn dollar military aid package. Immediately following Senate approval, the bill will arrive on the desk of President Biden who has stated that he will sign without delay. While Ukraine has continued in its defense against Russia, the nation has endured air defense attacks launched by Russia, the force of which has destroyed Ukraine's TV tower in Kharkiv.


On Monday, Russian forces blasted the red and white tower that has remained standing in Kyiv for decades. According to Governor Oleg Syniehubov, thge attack interrupted television broadcasting. According to President Zelensky, the attacks were the effects of "Russia's clear intention to make the city uninhabitable."

Following Friday's decision by members of the House and President Biden's announcement there was nothing further to question the President's intent to back Ukraine with financial support.


Aid to Ukraine has been approved by Congress and the President in the sum of $9billion in economic assistance that will be provided to Ukraine in the form of forgivable loans.
