Former Chicago Mayor /Investigator Lightfoot Looks Further Into Allegations Claiming Henyard $2M Embezzlement

STATE & NATIONAL: In the state of Illinois, the city of Dolton Mayor who has been under investigation involving claims made alleging the Mayor’s embezzlement of 2 million dollars in tax payments. Tiffany Henyard tags herself as the ‘ Super Mayor’ has faced the scrutiny of the city while being investigated by former Chicago Mayor, Lori Lightfoot.

It has been a matter of controversy for months —the allegations facing the Dolton Mayor Tiffany Henyard included the effects of the Mayoral autonomy that was felt by one resident who claimed sexual assault. As the investigation proceeded, Mayor Henyard, age 40, took full advantage of her power by way of a veto that would bring the investigations to a halt.

Mayor Henyard , by others, had been dubbed ‘America’s worst Mayor.’ The title draped upon Henyard’s shoulders follows allegations that transcend claims of embezzlement to the inclusion of accusations surrounding an alleged sexual assault that occurred during a visit to Las Vegas along with cohorts. It had, also, been stated that the fairly young Mayor spent tax payer dollars on lavish trips, and personal luxuries.

Last week, the Cook County regional division ofthe FBI served 2 subpoena at Henyard’s Dolton Village office. Contained in the subpoena are the requests for personal files and the disciplinary records of 25 employees. According to the reports , 3 officers were named in the subpoena while one of the officers named, Keith Freeman, serves the Village as a top administrator and Henyard’s chief assistant.

Freeman was, also, singled out by FBI agents who served the officer with a separate subpoena. The 2nd subpoena requested information in regard to Freeman’s business ties, particularly, any that were connected to the city offices ofthe Township.

A trist in the matter was uncovered following the final serving of subpoena by FBIagent when it was learned that Mayor Henyard was not served nor mentioned in either of the subpoena.
