This visit was part of his campaign trail as he seeks reelection in the upcoming election. On Tuesday, President Biden is expected to arrive in Tampa Florida where he will meet with Democratic leaders and speak with constituents on the topic of abortion.
President Joe Biden is scheduled to make a campaign stop in Tampa, Florida on Tuesday. In reference to the President’s visit to Florida, the stop in Tampa will take place only weeks after the state Supreme Court issued two significant rulings.
While both of the Supreme Court decisions are related to abortion rights: one paves the way for a six-week abortion ban and the other allows voters to cast their ballots on repealing the ban while also voting for the president.
The Biden campaign is investing more time in Florida, while his visit will make a significant impact in the nation’s largest presidential election swing state.
Additionally, earlier this year, President Biden also visited the U.S.-Mexico border in El Paso, Texas, where he toured a migrant center and walked along a stretch of the border wall.
President Biden’s travels to Texas have been strategically aimed at mobilizing voters and raising campaign funds.
