Dolton County Mayor's Trial Hit By Top Administrative Aide: Feeman Pleads Not Guilty

STATE & NATIONAL: In the Dolton County, Illinois court, this week, the one person who might have provided an uplifting testimony in regard to his higher up, Mayor Tiffany Henyard, it was Keith Freeman, who added fuel to the flames of a lawsuit containing the burning inferno that threatens to add the fire of termination to Thorton Township, Mayor's current status. Freeman, Henyard's top administrator in Dolton County, has plead not guilty to bankruptcy fraud. By Anne M. Erbynstein "I'm basically fighting against the devil. The evil spirit. I'm the good spirit. I've never seen no one try to tear down people this much." --Throton Township Mayor, Tiffany Henyard Regarded by most as a trusted public servant, Keith Freeman was accused of hiding his personal income of 95.,000 dollars while filing a bankruptcy claim. The case being tried in the Dolton county federal court is only one among a number of lawsuits filed in regard to Mayor Henyard and Freeman. In a separate case, both Henyard and Freeman are being sued by a Thorton Township property owner who claims being wrongfully denied the business license. According to Mr. Isom, Henyard commented, "...she wanted nobody to get these properties because she wanted them." The complainant, Tyrone Isom stated that Freeman indicated that the property owner would receive the licenses applied for, however, during a consequential meeting with Freeman, Isom stated that Freeman treated the applicant as though he had never had no knowledge of his barber shop and pigmentation studio license applications. Freeman declined approval of the licenses. Attorney for Mr. Isom stated that the property owner's case is not the first. Gregory Kulis stated that there a many people, willing to pay the price to obtain property or obtain a business license, however, if it is not satisfying to Henyard, Kulis said, the applicant receives a 'no.' Kulis commented in reference to the scores of people who are operating inside of the parameters of the law desire to bring business to Dolton county and are "...willing to put their sweat and hard labor into business... and, for whatever reason, the Mayor doesn't want it." Henyard, however, states in opposition to the claims made against her that she is "...basically fighting against the devil." Thorton Township Mayor, Tiffany Henyard stated weeks ago that she is the victim in the federal lawsuit. Henyard indicated that she is being victimized by critics whose purpose is to "tear down..." the first black Mayor of Dolton County.
