Israel States No Plan For Backing Down on Offer Made To Hamas For Ceasefire & Release of Hostages

US & GLOBAL: Today, as negotiations end involving the prospective efforts at securing a ceasefire and releasing hundreds of Israeli hostages, Hamas attempts to impose an ultimatum on Israel--its Israel's last chance Hamas leaders state. In Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reacts to Hamas ultimatum stating, Israeli leaders will not back down on its offer. By Anne M. Erbynstein "The Hamas proposal yesterday was intended to torpedo the entry of our forces into Rafah...That did not happen."--Israel Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu Hostage talks continued yesterday in Cairo as a delegation of Israel's diplomats met in Cairo to further plans agreed to by Hamas leaders following Israel Prime Minister, Netanyahu's demands. "Israel will not allow Hamas to continue its wicked rule in the Strip." --Israel Prime Minister, Ben Netanyahu Today, Netanyahu stated the plans established by Israel in regard to Rafah involve the rescue of hostages and the annihilation of Hamas regimists. Netanyahu stated , also, that the military pressures placed against Hamas are a proven precondition to ensure the return of hostages. According to Netanyahu, Israel is faced with preventing Hamas efforts at rehabilitating its military capabilities for the sole [purpose of continuing in efforts of destruction against Israel. Netanyahu continued stating that Israel will not accept the proposal presented yesterday, such that "...endangers the safety of our citizens and the future of our country." Israel officials emerged from yesterday's meeting in Cairo, Egypt with the understanding that standards that had been stated in the resolution as proposed by Israel had been altered. The very evident alterations softened the agreement rendering it unacceptable by Israel. Today, the situation remains at a standstill as Hamas states that a deal will reach agreement when it includes a complete end to the war. In Israel, problems with agreement to Hamas leaders proposition fall in line with Israel's decision to conduct operations in Rafah. Israel has stated that no end to the war cis possible short of the elimination of Hamas forces that , today, remain hold up in Egypt. Netanyahu states it is"...very important..." to eliminate the Hamas forces that currently remain in Egypt.
