NATION: In Manhattan, the trial involving former President Donald Trump in the criminal hush money case has taken on dimension. This week, Judge in the trial, Juan Merchan, has made a request to the attorneys of former Trump legal team member, Michael Cohen, demanding that the witness cease with making comments in regard to the case. By Michelle Crawford-Sapenter "I would direct the people to communicate to Mr. Cohen that the judge is asking him to refrain from making any more statements about this case."-- Manhattan District Court Judge Juan Merchan Set to respond to questioning during the Trump criminal hush money trial, former Trump attorney, Michael Cohen has apparently made discussions surrounding the hish money case a matter of personal and public interest. "It's becoming a problem every single day that President Trump is not allowed to respond to this witness." -Attorney for Donald Trump, Todd Blanche In recent weeks, Cohen has produced a recent video tape on TikTok while the former Trump associated made comments in regard to the man who, now, considers Cohen his new found adversary. Cohen is seen on the TikTok video wearing a T-Shirt that bares the image of the former President wearing an orange convict outfit, standing behind bars. On Friday, Judge Merchan reached the former President's attorney, Todd Blanche, to request that Cohen be cautioned to refrain from making public comments in reference to Donald Trump. Balking at Merchan's request, Blanche indicated that he has no control over the actions taken by the former Trump attorney. Blanche added that while he cannot make direct demands of Cohen, the commentary made in regard to his client, Doanld trump, are becoming a significant problem. In reaction to Blanche's comment, Merchan stated that the request made to him "...comes from the bench and you are communicating that on behalf of the bench." adding that Blanche should make certain that Cohen is aware that it is not his request, but is, also, the request of Judge Merchan. The problem with Cohen's comments, its been said, is that the former regarded insider in association with the Trump inner-circle appears to be capitalizing on TikTok commentary--a matter the court considers to be potentially contemptuous.
