STATE & NATIONAL: Today, a california federal court returned a guilty verdict in response to the defense of Dave DePape, the man , now convicted on charges involved in his burglary and assault of Paul Pelosi , the husband of Nancy Pelosi, former US House Speaker.

A conclusion of the months long trial involving paul Pelosi's criminal lawsuit filed against his 42 year old attack, Dave DePape. following the trial during which DePape was convicted on all charges, a spokesperson was selected by Nancy Pelosi to isued a comment. In the comments, Pelosi states that "...the family is very proud of ..." 83 year old Paul Pelosi "...who demonstrated extraordinary composure..."
The statement adds that Speaker Pelsoi and her husband are deeply grateful for the outpouring of prayers and warm wishes for Mr Pelosi from so many across the country during this difficult time.
Today, San Francisco DA, Brooke Jenskins has stated that her officwe has planned to " "...confer with the federal prosecutors and with the victim in this case as we determine what our next steps in the state case will be."
The assault and burglaryu trial of Dave DePape was concluded with the conviction on charges of attempted kidnapping of a federal official. DePape was, also, convicted on count of assault. DePAPE was charged on a number of counts including breaking into the Pelosi's San Francisco home in October, 2022. Prosecutors argued that the was man influenced by political comments he read that were found at a social website--a website DePape stated influenced his attack and other violent actions committed at the Pelosi home and against Paul Pelosi. According to comments made by the San Francisco Distruict attorney, Dave DePape will likely face additional charges. San rancisco DA, Brooke Jenkins stated that DePape will face attempted murder charges assault with a deadly weapon , elder abuse, and false imprisonment.
