Alsobrooks also served as the Prince George county state's attorney for 7 years and, prior to then, the young attorney worked as a volunteer for the presidential campaign of Bill Clinton. From her native home of North Carolina, Alsobrooks became interested in politics after her family moved to Washington D.C. As a youth at Benjamin Banneker High School Alsobrooks spent her politically formative years serving as her school's student government president. A graduate of Duke University, Angela Alsobrooks received her Bachelor's degree before moving on to earn a Juris doctorate degree while engaging in studies at the University of Maryland. Following her graduation, Alsobrooks worked as a law clerk for the law firms of DLA Piper and DeCaro, Doran, also working for Circuit Judges, William D Quarles Jr and Donna Hill Staton. Alsobrooks has developed as a savvy legal professional atoning to her vast ability as a potential lawmaker while the majority of her pre- Senate campaign work has involved her in political campaigns including that of presidential candidate Al Gore, 2000. Alsobrooks has, also, stood as a political activist during the campaign and the presidency of Barack Obama and as a staunch support for women having, also, supported the Hillary Clinton campaign.

Alsobrooks arrives as a candidate for the US Senate after her 7 year tenure and assisted with supporting the candidacy and political campaign of Vice President Kamala Harris, 2019, traveling to Detroit as a demonstration of support to Harris and the Biden administration. Since the time of the 2020 election victory, Alsobrooks has served as a Biden administration Delegate and serves as a member ofthe Maryland Women for Biden. Today, in order to reign victorious in the upcoming 2024 election, Alsobrooks will be situated as the Maryland Senate candidate who won 54% of the 2023 primary election votes to defeat incumbent Tone and will face rival and republican candidate for the US Senate, Larry Hogan--the candidate Alsobrooks refers to as a 'generic' Republican. Alsobrooks has commented in regard to the Maryland mantra indicating that the state has largely remained blue. The PG resident candidate states that the state will remain blue so long as residents there "put in the work."

Much like Vice President Kamala Harris, Alsobrooks shoulders the concern of the people. As a longtime servant of Maryland, it has been and , she hopes, will continue to be the best opportunity she has for supporting Governor Wes Moore in uplifting the state of Maryland and its people.
