Arizona 'Fake Electors' Case Opens w/Former Trump Attorney Eastman The 1st To Testify

STATE & NATIONAL: On Thursday, the state of Arizona opens its case involving former President Donald Trump in election violation. The state of Arizona called its first witness, former close Trump ally, attorney, John Eastman, to testify in regard to his knowledge and involvement in Arizona election violations.

The case brought against Donald Trump and allies including one of the former President attorneys, John Eastman involves the matter of the replacement of Trump favoring Electors to fill the roles performed by the Electoral College members.

In 2020, the Trump campaign was accused of attempting to control the results of the presidential election by calling upon Arizona officials to replace members of its state electors with fake electors. In the course of replacing electors, the investigation of these events found that Eastman had been allegedly involved in the scandalous efforts. Today, former Trump attorney plead not guilty to charges associated with election violations.

Eastman was charged with 9 felonies connecting him to the fake electors scheme. In his denial of being an actor in the election violation, Eastman blatantly stated it is a matter in which he had no involvement.

During his testimony, Eastman stated he had “zero communication..,” with Arizona electors adding that he had “zero involvement..,” in the election litigation in the state nor during legislative hearings.

In the fake electors case, today, 64 year old Eastman stated his confidence that he will be fully exonerated as “laws are faithfully applied.”

As the trial opens this week, it has, also, been indicated that John Charles Eastman may be subject to appearing in the Arizona Maricopa County Superior Court by October 10, 2024
