President Biden To Engage In Morehouse College Commencement Ceremony, Speaking Sunday

POLITICS: President Joe Biden is aligning his plan for delivering the typically black, all men's academy, Morehouse College. President Biden is being depicted as making an effort to garner increasing support from black voters however, Morehouse College is not the first ever HBCU at which Biden has ever spoken to deliver a commencement address during his more than 40 years of service to his home state of Pennsylvania and the United States. Biden is slated for delivering the Morehouse speech, Sunday. By Michelle Crawford-Sapenter "We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal," Biden alluded to the "unalienable..." rights and freedoms of Americans while quoting a phrase stated in the introductory segment ofthe US Declaration of Independence. Biden added that all Americans "...should be treated equally their whole lives." On Sunday, US President Joe Biden will deliver the ceremonial commencement speech at the largely black, men's university, Morehouse College. President Biden is set to deliver the commencement address amid the controversy that rages on college campuses across the nation involving pro-Palestinian protests. While the Morehouse event will, however, offer the President and graduating students and spectators a measure of peace and relief that, so far, their campus has remain one outstanding the ongoing campus ruckus. Some speculation has been shaking up conversation in Washington and Atlanta surrounding the potential for protests to stir at some venue outside the Morehouse College campus, however, the mere speculation has not fused any doubt that a peaceful ceremony will be conducted on Sunday. Earlier in the week, Biden responded during an interview with Atlanta radio talk show host, Big Tigger, stating his excitement about delivering his presidential message to thousands of Morehouse College graduates--those to whom he refers as being American's future leaders. Well, to the surprise of most in Washington, D.C., the Morehouse student and portions of the Atlanta community has erupted in protest however, nothing that bares any image of violence or any comparison to the chaos that has persisted among campuses in New York, California and elsewhere. It is, however, quite unlikely that the sit-outs, stand-ins and picket lines that are gracing the sidewalks and streets of Atlanta, today, will continue to Sunday to mar one of Atlanta's largest and most well regarded colleges in the nation's commencement ceremony. Biden will deliver his speech while situated on the Century Campus lawn. Historical in its existence, the Century Campus lawn is the site that one of the black community's most renown leaders once heralded, delivering a routinely magnanimous speech--there Dr Martin Luther King stood during a moment in time prior to his eventful success in securing the adoption of United States anti-discrimination laws. Today, President Biden receives roaring laughter in response his joke delivered to a crowd gathered at the National Museum of African American History in Washington D.C. Biden, was, also, adorned with rave reviews by the NMAAH audience as he captured members ofthe audience who, with bated breath, undividedly paid their attention to the US President's utterings recanting () events surrounding the historical case Brown v Board of Education. Prior to closing his comments, President Biden acknowledged the work performed 70 years ago through the combined efforts of the NAACP and the US Supreme Court during the Brown v Education case that ended public school segregation. It was a case centered on ending inequality and racism that changed the nation and the world, Biden commented. President Biden, who congratulated NAACP President Derrick Johnson for the continued work that feeds sentience and survival into the American and black community, stated that he is a lifetime member of the NAACP. President Biden recalled the days that he watched as black American protested and fought for the right of their children and those of others to be included in public schools in every US community in America. Today, the President commented that the same people he watched in support of 70 years ago are in the White House, today where they deserve to be.
