Biden May Push Gun Show Sales Limits Outside of SCOTUS

STATE & NATIONAL: This week, the Biden administration will look down the barrel of a US Supreme Court pistol that fired upon the petition made by the administration to force gun dealers to obtain a license and perform background checks on purchasers who obtain guns from dealers at gun shows. Today, American public is, ultimately, directly affected by the Court’s turned down the petition put forth by the Biden administration.

In reference to gun purchases that are made while some gun dealers transcend laws that demand that background checks be conducted, the Biden administration took historical steps that seek to reduce and prevent gun violence in the United States.

Through the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention top White House officials peer into the extremities ofthe public and police gun violence that has plagued the nation as undocumented purchases and use of firearms persists. In the judgement put forth by the US Supreme Court, and in lieu of the high statistics reporting the deaths of blacks and minor children that has resulted from gun violence,

In the most recent years, tge statistics documenting the homicides that have transpired among adult blacks has declined from 30.2% in 2021 however, today, remains standing at 27.5% . The scale is outrageous among minor blacks and Hispanics though the numbers have much improved during the Biden administration.

Today. the numbers of black minors homicides, ages 0 to 17 , are over 13.6 times more likely to die by gun violence than their non-Hispanic white peers.

A temporary restraint placed on the Bureau Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms by US District Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk, Amarillo, prohibits the ban on the sale of firearms under such conditions THST gun dealers be licensed and impose a background check on buyers.

Judge Kacsmaryk perceives the bans placed against Biden administration gun dealers and sales as illegal however simultaneously appears to side with the prospect for gun violence to persist costing tge U.S. government, companies and states billions of dollars each year.

In the last 3 years, since the start of the Biden administration, the United States has seen a 1.6% to 2.5% decrease in gun violence. Given the impact of the decision made by the Texas judge—the impact of which has the proclivity to be devastating on vommunities hardest hit by gun violence— the Biden administration may be forced to carry tge weight of the nation , once again, by signing an Executive Order that will force states to adhere to the administration’s demands.

President Biden has not responded in regard to tge administration’s follow-up plan, however, so long as the WH Office of Gun Violrnce Prevention continues on the path of protecting US residents, doing that which opposes states and lower court judges, the matter of preventing gun sales without background checks remains tabled.
