STATE & NATIONAL: On Saturday, the Boeing Aircraft manufacturer company was forced to end the space craft launch scheduled for NASA's Starliner. The space flight, including 2 US Astronauts was called off due to for the purpose of allowing the team members time to assess matters associated with ground equipment. By Anne M. Erbynstein The canceled launch made only 3,5 minutes before liftoff, the launch scheduled to take place at NASA's location at Florida's cape Canaveral Space Force Stating would have sent Astronauts Barry "Butch" Whitmore and Sunit Williams into space. At 12:25pm, Willaims and Whitmore would travel into space to reach the International Space Station. The flight that would have been the Starliner's first launch into outer space with a human crew. The launch would have placed a limited launch Alliance V rocket into space carrying Boeing's Starliner from the Cape Canaveral Space Launch Complex 41. The space craft that had been scheduled for launch on Saturday had been postponed until Sunday when all plans were ended --the crew requiring further examination of ground support at the CCSS Launch Complex. The Commercial Crew Program is sponsored by Boeing and the ULA Atlas-V stated today that the crew's flight test would be postponed after the crew's scientist on the Starliner discovered that they were not successful in activating the system's sequencer for its necessary redundancy. According to the information gathered from NASA the ground support crew will make a careful assessment of the ground support equipment during the postponement period. NASA officials stated that an update of the system's condition will be provided by June 2 following the overnight examination. NASA as indicated that the Boeing Starliner Commercial flight test may be ready for liftoff on June 5th and 6th.
