Former House Speaker McCarthy Announces House Exit As Year Ends

STATE & NATIONAL: Announced today, Former US House Speaker, Kevin McCarthy states that he has no plans for returning to the House in the next Congress. McCarthy stated, on Wednesday, he will resign his current Congressional post at the end of the year, 2023. By Anne M. Erbynstein

"It is in this spirit--referring to the celebrity of delivery to the US people, McCarthy stated--that I have decided to depart the House at the end of this year." During his announced exit statement delivered to Congress , today, McCarthy stated that it is his belief that Republicans "...did the right thing." Today, McCarthy commented in refernce to the existing Washington politiqie which remains in full swing, however, the soon to be former Congressman added that the actual issue revolves around "..delivering results for the American people..."--an event McCarthy says is contually celebrated in the US. McCarthy stated that he will leave Congress to further his work in other areas that , he expects,. will be of benefit to America. "I know my work is only getting started."

McCarthy commented, also, that his post Congress agenda will include recruiting opthers to run for elected office. No doubt, the 58 year old politician will maintain a direct focus on the Republican Party as his balawick for "lending..." his experiencein support of the next generation. With McCarthy joining George Santos in exiting the House, the GOP's one time wide 2022 mid-term expansion margin grows increasingly narrow. In the next Congress, the House may encounter a flushing of the GOP 2/3rds majority lead. Today, after a brioef calculation of seating has been projected, the Republican Party leaves open a spacious gap with 7 seats to be filled , perhaps by Democrats. In the last administration, the events that surrounded 2 presidential impeachments and followed up with an election cheat-claim which, was itself followed by a heinous insurrection and threat being made against federal officials, it appears the GOP is witnessing the fall-out of the rain of terror on Washington, the affects of such that seem to be making themselves quite apparent with the unfolding of Republican members' falling away. Perhaps, some who are among these that leave the House are feeling the wieght of that which unfolded as sheer and utter abuse brought against the revered and long standing honor of the federal government.

In his final comments, McCarthy stated that the time now, is ripe for the one time House leader's pursuit of his passion.
