Israeli Troops Search Gaza For 73 Yr Old US Citizen Believed Dead-- IDF Signaled Locating Hamas Leaders in Khan Younis


US & GLOBAL: In Israel at the Gaza Strip, fighting continues as Israel forces search the city of Khan Younis for Hamas militia and those who have been responsible for the outbreak of violence against Israel. Today, as Israel continues to unload its strikes against Hamas, reports from regions of the Gaza have indicated that the count of the dead has reached 20,000. By Anne M. Erbynstein The search launched for leaders of the Hamas has turned up nothing satisfactory for Israel's IDF officials. Today, as Isreali soldiers engage in "The Ring of Fire" ground operation, they have has sought after one of Hamas top leaders. Yahya Sinwar, one of Hamas top militia leaders, has yet to be located by Israel forces. During the most recent strikes fired upon Gaza's city of Khan Younis, Israeli forces have engaged in battle with Hamas forces. nearly 1500 were killed during the fighting. While in one ofthe Gaza major commerce centers, the report from Israel forces has indicated that Sinwar is hold-up in location in the city. While the population remains high, compared to others in the region, the search for Sinwar takes on added complications. The Israeli search crew suspects that Sinwar has assumed surreptitious presence in the city , locating in underground trenches. The IDF has indicated that Sinwar is accompanied by commanders of the Hamas and as many as 200 hostages captured by Hamas. Fighting that transpired in Gaza resulted in raising questions involving the whereabouts of more of the Hamas leaders following the apparent death of one who was killed on Friday by Israeli forces. According to the report made , today, Israel has also received information in regard to the abduction of a US citizen captured by Hamas in October. On Friday. a report of Gad Haggai's current condition indicated that the 73 year old US citizen had been killed. The most recent report made earlier in the week indicates that the body of Haggai may be maintained in an Hamas trench along with 130 Hamas captives.
