Hunter Biden Arrived At Judiciary & Oversights Committees Hearing As Congress Plans Resolution To Hold Younger Biden In Contempt of Congress

"I am here to testify at a public hearing today to answer any of the committees legitimate questions. Republicans donot want an open process where Americans can see their tactics, expose their baseless inquiry or hear what they have to say." --Comments By Hunter Biden

NATION: On Wednesday, US House Republicans approved a resolution to hold in contempt, Hunter Biden, following the claim that the young Biden defied a subpoena issued to his attorneys. Hunter was accused by both the House Judiciary and Oversights committees in a vote of 23 to 14 during the House session on Wednesday. By Michelle Crawford-Sapenter Attorney for Hunter Biden, Abbe Lowell, commented in regard to Congress disputing how the Judiciary and Oversights Committees takes issue with Hunter Biden by taking a vote that would "...hold someone in contempt who has offered to publicly answer all their proper questions." Accompanied by his attorneys, Kevin Morris and Abbe Lowell, Hunter Biden entered the courthouse shortly after opening arguments began. In a plan to hear Hunter Biden's own testimony, Republicans exchanged comments , such that, ultimately erupted into a verbal battle between Republican Nancy Mace and Democrat, Jared Moskowitz. "We will not provide Hunter Biden special treatment because of his name. All Americans must be treated equally under the law and that includes the Bidens"-- Republican Congressman, James Comer, According to reports made in regard to the verbal altercation, Moskowitz stood on behalf of Hunter Biden to debate Mace's rather crude and harsh comments made directly to Hunter Biden. Mace inquired whether Hunter was afraid of Republicans comments adding that the alleged defiant defendant conducted himself in a matter that , in her words, represented the "epitome of white privilege." Mace added her impression that Hunter Biden spat in the face of the committees by ignoring a congressional subpoena, despite the fact that the younger Biden arrived to attend the summoned hearing. In the last months, Hunter Biden had received a request by Republicans to meet during a closed hearing. Hunter's attorney's declined prompting the arrival by the Hunter Biden team today. A rather truculent Moskowitz reacted to Mace's comments, stating that both committees would , now, have the full opportunity to sit with Hunter Biden along with his attorneys. Moskowitz, then , approached Congress for a vote to have Hunter Biden speak before the Judiciary and Oversights Committees. Following today's hear in Congress that approved the resolution to hold the son of Biden in contempt, the actual vote on the measure will be held at a later date. At this time, Hunter Biden has not been held in contempt of Congress.
