Today, in his disclosure on the White House meeting between President Biden and House Speaker Johnson, Senator Chuck Schumer states that the meeting was the most "intense..." he has ever witnessed taking place in the Oval Office.
Meeting with the President were Senate Majority Leader, Chuck Schumer, House Minority Leader, Congressman Hakeem Jeffries, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and Johnson--Democrats discussing the matter citing the urgency of its approval.
Under pressure by Biden administration , Johnson has seemingly danced around the issue involving passing a supplemental funding bill to to provide for Ukraine's ability to continue in its resistance against Russia.
President Biden presses forward with the request for the approval of the $60 billion dollar funding bill. According to Schumer's report, the bill will provide $14.1 billion in military aid to Ukraine, $9.2 billion to Gaza in the form of humanitarian aid.
In his continuation of posing the question to Johnson to pass the military funding bill, the House acknowledges the recent efforts made by the Senate which passed the bill last month. The House is pressured to pick up the pace and proceed in lock step with the Senate to ensure that Ukraine maintains power and keeps formidable pace with Russia during the , now, 3 years war.
Now, the House will, one again, convene and engage in discussion and votes on the very immensely pressing bill as Ukraine President Zelenskyy awaits the outcome.
Last week, the Ukraine President issued a message to President Biden stating the situation that Ukraine military has arrived in following the recent strikes that resulted in Ukraine territory take over by Russia. Zelensky states that the Ukraine military might is falling as a result of Russia's invasion and continued aggression over the, now, 3rd year war.
