President Biden Recognizes Hard Effective Work Performed By Caregivers Declaring Caregivers’ Months

President Biden’s commitment to caregivers extends beyond mere words. His administration has made significant investments in what he calls the care economy. This includes efforts to expand access to childcare, paid family and medical leave, and home-based services. Representatives from organizations such as the AFL-CIO, AARP, and the National Domestic Workers Alliance were also present during this event.


As a caregiver, you represent the best of who we are as Americans. Your unwavering dedication to looking out for one another exemplifies the spirit of our nation. President Biden assured caregivers that he has their backs, recognizing the challenges they face and the critical role they play in our families and the entire economy.


In a heartfelt moment, President Biden shared his own experience as a parent and caregiver. He recounted the difficulties he encountered while raising his children after a tragic accident. His story underscores the need for affordable caregiving options and support for families facing similar challenges.


So, to all the caregivers out there: You are our heroes, and your work matters. President Biden’s commitment to improving the care economy is a step toward ensuring that caregivers receive the recognition, resources, and respect they deserve.
