Judge Grigsby commented further alluding to the damage that had been imposed on the Baltimore community by Mosby , the impact of her wrongdoing leaving a impression of disappointment on residents who once held the former prosecutor in high esteem. "What is different here today is that underneath that white collar is the neck of a Black woman who dared to challenge the status quo." --Attorney Ben Crump One who impresses as being a committed Christian, Mosby commented in reference to the presence of "God..." during the trial. Mosby stated, "This is not over..." indicating that the former Baltimore official believes that the trial ended in a wrongful verdict -a matter that, by attorney Ben Crump described a situation that may have been associated with racial bias. Mosby, who has 2 minor daughter, stated that God touched the heart of the judge who showed leniency in enabling her to remain at home with her children as opposed to the sentence sought after by federal prosecutors who stated their hope for a 20 month prison sentence. The court appointed attorney, James Wyda, defended Mosby who, by Judge Grigsby, found that the defendant had been rendered to a state of indigents, despite her former 200,000 annual salary. The case brought against Marilyn Mosby span the course of 2 years following the charges filed in 2022.
