Vice President Harris Speaks Against Gun Manufacturers-- 'Congress &...Legislators Must Pass Red Flag Laws"

NATION: This week, Vice president Kamala Harris reaches the public during a speech made in regard to the Uvalde mass shooting. Harris spoke, on the anniversary of the Robb Elementary School mass shooting that killed 21 people stating the impression had by the White House administration and the US public, that echoes the impression that people fear the gun manufacturing industry. Following the plan by former White House official James Brady shot along with 2 other White House officials while leaving a meeting. The attack against Brady, McCarthy, Delahanty and former President Ronald Regan, Washington politique has taken careful steps to secure bans on weapons like that which inflicted a life injury upon the former White House Press Secretary. By Michelle Crawford-Sapenter "Congress and state legislators must have the courage to pass red flag laws, ban assault weapons and make background checks universal."--US Vice President Kamala Harris Today, a report from Washington offers a clear description of the Biden administration's position on gun violence. In regard to assault weapons, like that which was used to kill 21 people during the Robb Elementary mass shooting, Harris is continuing to work against the type of gun violence that US communities continue to experience. Requests made to Congress by Vice President Harris surrounding red flag laws involve the matter of the court ordered removal of weapons from the hands of those who are presenting a potential danger to others. Including assault weapons, the red flag law imposes temporary removal of firearms and, thereafter, approaches the gun manufacturer tyo encourage a response to the court's request for background information on the target suspect. In 1993, the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act was established as the first historical act that would bring controls upon gun manufacturers and gun dealers. The Brady Bill imposed demands on gun dealers to perform background checks on gun purchasers. Gun violence has spread across the US, reeking havoc against American citizens. In the last 2 years, each day 132 people have been the victim of gun violence, 48,000 people have died as a result of current gun laws. Today, the white House Office of Gun Violence Prevention is tasked with the job of following through with the plans by US President Joe Biden to "...reduce gun violence, which has ravaged communities across the country, and implement and expand upon key executive and legislative action which has been taken to save lives."

The White House OGVP director, Stefanie Feldman, works closely with Vice President kamala Harris and gun violence prevention advocates, Greg Jackson and Rob Wilcox. Since the Brady Act, this week, the speech delivered by Vice President Harris promoting the end to gun violence is the primary goal of the Office of Gun Violence Prevention echoes the plans established by President Joe Biden and supports the most historical gun violence prevention laws in 30 years.
