Biden Criticizes Russian Leader Over Antisemitic Stance




POLITICS: On Monday, the news of a rise in antisemitism seems to have launched along with Israel's strikes against Hamas underground camps in an overnight raid on Saturday. During a meeting between President Biden and representatives of the American Jewish community that included the 2nd Gentleman, Doug Emhoff, the rountable discussion addressed the matter of the growing antisemitism in the US. Discussions held, adressed maters associated with threats of violence on schools and college campuses. By Michelle Crawford-Sapenter Since the time of the outbreak of war, discussions have brought about a number of urgent talks surrounding the potential for violence to ne stirred up in the US. Emhoff and Education Secretarym, Miguel Cordoza discussed the matters associated with potential campus violence, both stating their reaffirmation for support to the Jewish community.


More recently, President Biden commented in reaction to the antisemitic statements made by Russian President, Vladimir Putin. Putin stated that he has no reservations in regard to the actions taken by Hamas militia in regard to Israel and the Gaza. Biden jas stated th his concern over antisemitism and responds to Putin's comments, acknowledging the comments made by Ukrainina officials who stated, Putin has antisemitic statements are "another manifestation of deep-rooted anti-Semitism of the Russian elites." President Biden's focus is turned to the sityuation in the US and the recent threats made in regard to the Cornell University antisemitic student body. Today, the white House stated that the federal government is closely tracking threats of antisemitism. Today, white House Press Secretary, Karine jean -Pierre comments on behalf of the administration stating , ''We are thinking of you..we are going to do everything we can on both Cornell campus and across the country to counter antisemitism."

Biden, also, indicated that cybersecurity and DHS agents are at work , engaging with schools and students to "assess and address need." The Qhite House has ensured that federally funded programs that address discrimionation on the basis of national origin invluding discrrimination against Jews and Muslims, will remain in place.
