In an era that, today, has been offset by the signing of Civil Rights bill meant to extend the rights and liberties of people of color, the reflection on Emmett Till’s life and tragic death involves presence of racism during the era ofthe 50s and reflects the actions that today, as murders have been committed by rash actions on the part of law enforcement, spell out the level of blatant racial extremism that still exists in American society.

Emmett Till was a teen age, African American boy from Chicago who was brutally murdered in August 1955 while visiting relatives in Money, Mississippi. His murder was a pivotal moment in the Civil Rights Movement.

Stemming abduction and attack by the race extremists, Roy Bryant, following the claim accusing the 14 year old boy of offending a white woman, Carolyn Bryant while she worked in her family’s grocery store. The accusation led to Emmitt’s abduction, torture, and murder by Bryant’s husband, Roy, and his half-brother, J.W. Milam.

Till’s mother, Mamie Till-Mobley, roused public reaction as Mrs Till- Mobley insisted on an open-casket funeral to show the world the brutality of his murder. The image of the young boy ; Till’s mutilated body shocked the nation and galvanized the Civil Rights Movement.

Despite overwhelming evidence, the two men accused of Till’s murder were acquitted by an all-white jury. This miscarriage of justice highlighted the deep-seated racism in the American South.

The legacy and commemoration of Emmett Till’s story , as remembered by the Biden administration, has been reflected in various ways, including books, documentaries, and memorials. The death of Emmitt Till is often cited as a catalyst for the Civil Rights Movement, inspiring activists to fight for justice and equality.

The reflection on Emmett Till’s life and death continues to be a powerful reminder of the impact of racism and the importance of the fight for civil rights. The story of the racially motivated murder ofthe 14 black teen is a crucial part of American history and serves as a call to action against racial injustice.

Biden speaks to the outrage that was stirred in the black community at that time and looks upon this era—one in which racism is noticeable among other than white racial extremist, but is, also, noticed among Hispanics. Today, as America attempts to make strides forward to stand as a unified nation against foreign enemies, the divisive prospects of race hate bow to destroy the fibers of national security, national strength and tge ability to stand against the violent action brought on by the U.S. well known adversaries.

The message of unity has been spoken, clearly stated across the vast communities of this nation; tge United States. What will be necessary to maintain national security and strength is the one thing that, today’s racial extremist seek to break down—unity.

Despite the very amplified statement associated with tge hatred of people of honor, President Biden has called on every Smetican to recognize the place tge United States has arrived and in its reflection of hope for survival agsinst China, Russia and the vicious conjoined effort by certain other communist nations and Middle East factions, Americans of every walk of life, President Biden issues a word of hope— stand as one.
