Biden Signs Approval of 200 Nominees For Article III Judges

"These men and women have the power to uphold basic rights or to roll them back. They hear cases that decide whether women have the freedom to make their own reproductive healthcare decisions; whether Americans have the freedom to cast their ballots; whether workers have the freedom to unionize and make a living wage for their families; and whether children have the freedom to breathe clean air and drink clean water."- US President Joe Biden

POLITICS: On May 22, 2024, the Office ofthe President ofthe United States, Joe Biden signed into office 200 Article III judges. Each of the judges nominated by President Biden, at least one of the judges signed today will serve as an associate to the US Supreme Court. By Michelle Crawford-Sapenter "Today, we reached another milestone in the effort to protect the freedoms and liberties of all Americans."--US President Joe Biden Today, among the judges confirmed by President Biden, the President states that each are "...well qualified..." Americans who come from all walks of life. Biden stated that this group of judges are among the most diverse appointees in the nation to be nominated. The judges are "...64% women and 62% are people of color." The judges nominated and expected to be approved by the US Senate have served in areas of law in the United States to include providing services in labor law and civil rights lawyers--each of which have fought for the rights of Americans in areas of labor and civil litigation. "Judges matter. These men and women have the power to uphold basic rights or to roll them back."--President Joe Biden Biden commented in reference to the fine character thread sewn into the comportment of each of the new judges stating, " all committed to principles that are at the core of our democracy: independence, freedom, and liberty." Hearing cases that determine the rights and freedoms of women whose interest in reproductive freedom is often on the line, Biden stated that the nominees will, also, take into their consideration the statutes governing the America citizen's right to vote.

In reflection of the commentary that has gone forth following the President's Morehouse College commencement speech, "Today in Georgia, they won't allow water to be available to you while you wait in line to vote in an election...What in the hell is that all about?" President Biden, today, made it clear that the type of election bias showing up in Georgia will face the most effective scrutiny by one of today's nominees for judge as Biden, also, appoints 1 Justice who is expected to serve on the US Supreme Court. "There is more work to do. Going forward, I will continue my solemn responsibility of nominating individuals who have excelled in their professional careers, who reflect the communities they serve, and who apply the law impartially and without favoritism."--US President Joe Biden

Biden thanked the members of the Senate including Leader Schumer, Chair Durbin, Democratic Senators, and Republican Senators for their steadfast commitment to advancing these judicial nominations. Schumer and Durbin were among those who assisted with the process of nominating and vetting 200 judges.
