Colorado Supreme Court Building Break -In & Shooting Investigated


NATION: Today, the report of a break in court proceedings that were interrupted by a gun msn firing shots into the courtroom sent shock waves across the state of Colorado and the US court system. Following a brief investigation, the authorities there stated that tge shooting did not appear to be connected to recent threats made to the Colorado Supreme Court.

A Tuesday overnight break-in involving a gunman who opened fire inside the Colorado Suoreme Court resulted in the arrest of 44 year old Brandon Olsen. The court has not disclosed information in regard to the charges assessed by the police and the Denver prosecutor.


For most who have m received the news of tge Colorado Supreme Court shouting, across the nation the event seems less than surprising. The shooting transpired only 2 weeks following the court's having decided against former President Donald Trump's plan for running on the state general election ballot.


After the Colorado's decision was made, Trump's name was removed from the Colorado general election ballot for reasons associated with the court's having established the former President's ineligibility on the basis of the insurrection ban clauses written in the 14th Amendment.


Olsen reportedly surrendered to police after holding the building's security hostage. The security guard was unharmed according to them police report.


In regard to the shooting inside the Suoreme Court building, an investigation continues.
