THE WEEKENDER: In Round Rock, Texas, pre- Juneteenth celebration was ended when gunfire erupted as a gunman, Ricky Thompson, 17 , fired into a crowd. People scattering to avoid the gun shot that blasted into the night celebration that resulted in tragedy. 2 people died as the gunman fired upon into the crowd.

On June 16, the wife of Kevin Vicnair, Mrs Lyndsey Vicknair, was struck by a gunman’s bullets.. 33year old Lyndsey Vicknair died of one gunshot to the spine
In one of the most painful and sorrowful moments that transpired in June 16, 2024. to alter the lives of Round Rock residents. husband and father of 3 , Mr Kevin Vicknair gives a tearful and heart wrenching disclosure as he speaks ofthe events that ended the life of his beloved wife and mother to his 3 children.
Mr Vicknair, now a parent alone with his 2 daughters and sons, facing one of the most difficult times of he and his children’s lives, comments on how his wife, an attorney, was a virtual genius — a strong woman who, because of her love and hope for the best in him, she propelled him forward.
Suffering a magnanimous tragedy, Kevin Vicknair fought back tears as he discussion , with caring and concern for his community, sharing with residents of Round Rock, moments spent before and after his wife’s demise.
A courageous Kevin Vicknair continued to hold back his pain as a person might and without releasing his tears would ultimately compact snd therefore compound his suffering. Mr Vicknair demonstrated enormous inner strength as he broke through his teary eyes to share more with his friends and his family.
The story told, though, the saga continues. No one, but the two groups embroiled in a verbal altercation really know why the gunman opened fire on the pre-Juneteenth crowd. Had Thompson arrived that night with an intent to shoot and kill spectators at random or was there another motive for the shooter’s evil act of violent murder?
In the next weeks and possibly months, the family of Lyndsey Vicknair will know the reason their loved one died at the hand of a vicious murderer. It may only be at that time that the small community of Round Rock, Texas may be restored to peace.
