Updated: May 24

STATE & NATIONAL: In the city of Uvalde, Texas, families of the 21 people killed in a mass shooting have settle a lawsuit filed against the city of Uvalde. Today, the families and their attorneys announce the most recent lawsuit filed against the makers of the AR-16 that killed 18 students-minor children and 3 school staff, wounding 17 others. By Anne M. Erbynstein In the multiple defendant lawsuit, the Uvalde residents whose loved ones were slaughtered have reached an agreement with those believed to be responsible for making public assertions, on Instagram, Meta, Activision and gun maker, Daniel Defense. According to the lawsuit, it was the public advertising that stirred the tension among residents there, including mass shooter Salvador Ramos.

Filing the lawsuit was the 2nd phase in a plan to diminish gun violence in the Texas city and the nation. While lawyers believe their case will provide essential and effective substance for supporting White House efforts at banning AR-15 and other assault rifles, attorney for the families , Josh Koskoff, indicates his confidence that the case will be set a new standard for the fight against gun violence. Today, during his comments, Koskoff referred to Meta, Activision and Daniel Defense as the "...three headed monster..." adding that the group of three companies worked together to promote the weapon which stirred Ramos' desire for getting even with his 4th grade teacher and students at the school. At age 18, Salvador Ramos died amid the retaliatory gunfire by police after officers located the gunman hiding in a closet on the Robb elementary school campus.
