Gaza Hospital Closes During Plans For Removing Babies-Hamas Leaders Shut Down Hostage Negotiations


US & GLOBAL: Today, from the vantage point of nations arpound the world, it seems the 4 day pause in war conflict between Israel and Hamas has benefitted no one. Fighting continues with attacls that have forced one of the region's major medical facilities to shutdown after its generator faile and humanitarian efforts have been stalled. According to recent reports, Gaza residents are being bruiutallu beaten by Hamas forces who are preventing residents tleft there from receiving foods and other supplies. By Anne M. Erbynstein


"Attacks on medical facilities and civilians are unacceptable and are a violation of international humanitarian and human rights law and conventions."-- UNICEF Regional Director On Monday, reports of patients dying as treatment is being administered by tghe only doctors who have committed to remaining on duty to attend to the injured. In the last days of fighting more than 30 hospitalized patients have died along with dozens of infants who medical staff have been forced to remove from incubators to further preserve their safety. Over the weekend, reports were made of the singular Gaza medical facility, Al-Shifa Hospital, being forced shut due to lack of fuel and much needed medicine. In the laast weeks of war as strikes have been intense with the Gaza territory, WHO Chief, Tedros Ghebryessus maintained communication with hospital officials. The weekend, there, vreated communication problems as all contact between the WHO and Al-Shifa Hospuital had been lost. A pause in fighting loomed as only a pipe dream as Israel troops forced their way into northern Gaza following warnings by Bibi Netanyahu that ground strikes would proceed without further precaution. Since the issue of warnings, Israeli troops have successfully permeated the northern Gaza region while, also, locating Hamas equipment and weapons storage trenches located under the Al-Sahifa hospiatal. Strikes have continued as Israel permeates the full berth of the northern Gaza territory. Missile strikes have been unsalvaging of human life. Conditions at the al--Shifa medical facility, according to WHO Director General, are now "dire and perilous." Following conversaations held between US President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister, Ben Netanyahuu, by Sunday, it became undeniably apparent that strikes made against the innovcent , those seeking medical attention , now, only exist as a violation of international code. UNICEF Regional, UN Population Fund abd World Health Organization leaders have agreed, "The right to seek medical assistance, especially in times of crisis, should never be denied.” Despite Israel's statements to the contrary, Hamas leaders have stated that all negotiations to release hostages have been brought to a halt. Hamas leaders stated that their reason for ending talsk is the result of Israeli troops treament of Gaza only hospital.
