Gaza Overwhelmed By Israeli Strikes-The Count of Casualties Stack Up

Dozens are reported dead among those who were either in denial about Israel's warnings and others who, without transportation, were unable to make the trek to Egypt.

Hospitals have been overrun by survivors and the dead. Now, where tall skyscraping apartment and other buildings stood, the the debris of mortar and smoking rubble present a new reality. Today, still preserved for life, there are residents in Gaza City who have been caused to dig their way out of mountains of ashed over wreckage and whatever may be left of their broken lives. In the nearest hospital, Drs are fretting over the conditions stating that their su[pplies are running low and fuel to maintain electricity is rapidly depleting. In the hospital emergency area, dozens of the dead have been carried through on gurnies preceeded by 100s of the injured. One doctor stated that the injured are arriving every minute. A majority of the casualties were suffered by the residents of Jabalia, an refugee camp situated inside the Gaza strip. The number of living residents has been diminished by hundreds in a region that was once home to more than 100,000. According to the information gathered from Israel, the raids are not going to stop at this ppoint. Israel has indicated that the military offensive will expand as the conflict against Hamas and progresses. More raids are expected to be conducted by Israel as forces engage in combat with Hamas and trudge through the underground to eliminate Hamas ca,ouflaged trenches.
