STATE & NATIONAL: On Labor Day, hotel workers across the country have taken to the streets in protest of fairness in pay and work hours. The hotel workers’ strike involves more than 10,000 workers across 25 hotels in various U.S. cities.

Hotel workers in protest began over the Labor Day weekend, with workers demanding higher wages and the reversal of pandemic-era staffing and service cuts
The union representing the workers, UNITE HERE, has organized strikes in cities including Boston, Greenwich, Honolulu, Kauai, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose, and Seattle
Today’s hotel worker strikes are expected to last two to three days in each location
The workers are employed by major hotel chains such as Marriott International, Hilton Worldwide, and Hyatt Hotels.
