Houston Lights Up The State of Texas w/ New-Age 100 Ft Building & Park Nuances


STATE & NATIONAL: Houston is experiencing a surge in commercial construction, with several high-rise projects set to redefine the city’s skyline. Here are some of the notable developments.

The number one building, the Arco Del Tiempo is an environmentally sustainable art installation in Houston’s East End The Arco Del Tiempo will stand 100 feet tall and generate power for the nearby Latino multicultural performing arts theater.


A second building project is the Austin Point, 4,700-acre master plan featuring 1,600 acres of mixed-use commercial development, including hospitals, life sciences labs, and corporate headquarters.


The building project includes the construction of Autry Park. Located in Montrose, the Autry Park project is a 14-acre urban village aims to enhance connectivity and walkability. The first phase includes two apartment buildings, with additional commercial and retail spaces expected by the end of 2024.


Another phase of the new project, referred to as the BioHub II at Generation Park, is a 45-acre biomanufacturing hub will include 500,000 square feet for manufacturing, lab, and office space, further expanding Houston’s life sciences ecosystem.


In the Easter quadrant of the city, a redevelopment project transforming former warehouses in EaDo into a walkable 10-block mixed-use district, expected to break ground in the second quarter of 2024.


Houston’s new building projects highlight one of Texas’ largest city’s commitment to growth and innovation, ensuring the city remains a vibrant hub for business and community life.
