US & GLOBAL: On Thursday, a report from Israel indicates that Israel and Hamas forces have agreed to , agsin, extend the pause in violence in the Gaza. According to the report, an agreement struck between the rivsl sides resulted in an extension iftge pause from, a former 4 to 6 day pause to , now, a 7th day.

Today, Hamas militia leaders reported the Wednesday release of another 16 Israeli hostages. A confirmed report indicates that 30 Hamas members captured by Israel were , also released earlier on Thursday.
Among the hostages released by Hamas , Mia Schem, 21 and Amit Soussanna, 40, were both held in Hamas hidden trenches for the 2 months of fighting between Israel and Palestine. Schem and Soussanna were released this week following demands by Israel for Hamas to release 10 hostages each day.
While it had been expected that the 4 day pause would suffice for making the safe exchange of hostages, both sides have since agreed to extend the pause in violence another 3 days.
During the ceasefire, the Ministrynif the State in Qatar has maintained authority. Today, the Qatar Foreign Minister stated that no violence and no fighting eoujdbinsue during the extended pause for peace and humanitarian relief.
