NATION: The University of Columbia students turned the visit f popular politician into what some may view as a fiasco. On () student at Uof C walked out during a lecture delivered by , former White House proponant, Hillay clinton--wife of former US President Bill clinton ans former Secretary of Satte undewr the Obama administration. Students who walked protested in disagreement with Clinton's comments on the Israel-Palestine conglict. Last Month, much of the protests were, also, aimed at the prospect of the school administration's 'doxing' of student and faculty information--the term referring to the issueance of private information and soing so for the purpose of bringing harm to one person or other. Acording to information gathered during the visit by Clinton, a truch that arrived near or on campus displayed the faces and names of individuals who, being directly affiliated with Columbia Universaity, were exposed on the trailer of the truc=k whic bore their names and images.
President of the Columbia New York campous, Minoouche Shafik commented stating discussed the activities that has transpired on other major US college campuses. Shafik commented that the doxing is inclined to create disturbances thqat, also, evolve to campus rioting--targeting indivduals and reeking havok in communities.
The walk-out was not staged in protest of Clinton however, was conducted by students who were more interested in joining in the doxing protest. Student left Clinton's class--a 3 hour lecture that was accompanied by the Dean of the school of International Public Affairs, KerenYahri-Milo.
Columbia University has been approached by authorities to provide any legal effects to support the exposure of the private portal photos and information associated with theose suggested ly anti-senitic.
