NY Governor Hochul Responds To Pro-Palestine Protest Amid Ongoing Chaos As State and NYC Address Immigrants' Public Violations

Updated: Apr 20

NATION: Fire and brimstone rain in the state of New York and the city named for it. While New York, the city, continues to function in a state of flux. Given the imposition of more than 100,000 asylum seeker immigrants adding the unwanted mayhem that reaches over to a 2nd dimension erupts during pro-Palestine protests in New York city at Columbia University campus. The protest alone set off alarms and brought dozens of NYPD officers to the point of making arrests. Wouldn't you know, it didn't stop there. As if to steal the thunder, some very real lunatic arrives in Manhattan, situates outside the courthouse where the Trump trial is in session and sets something on fire. Oh god- the man set himself on fire. By Anne M. Erbynstein Today, at the Capitol of New York, Governor Kathy Hochul may, now, seem a bit complaisant given the week's heinous events and their outcomes. However, the nation has witnessed the rise of Governor Hochul's political acumen to the forefront as she spoke in response to the ongoing and highly politicized events. On Saturday, Governor Hochul held a press conference during which she provided a bit of insight into the events that have transpired over the recent months and that which occurred in the state in the last moments. Hochul has informed of the state's stand on the prevailing issues. In regard to the Governor Hochul's stand involving recent events, particularly that which transpired on Thursday and Friday, Hochul indicated that the state of New York is engaging in the routine protocols involving each of the week's incidents. In the state of New York, officials there have been immersed in matters associated with the state and New York city's ongoing immigration crisis. Governor Hochul has been faced with addressing violation, apparently those being committed in mass numbers by immigrants who have added dimension to the New York population. This week, it was revealed that a comparable number of permanent NY residents are moving, leaving their home city to reside, thereafter, in other states. The situation that does not resolve itself takes on added impact as Hochul and Mayor Adams continue to move forward even at the pace that may have slowed since their reception of the 100,000 immigrants. Hochul and Adams have combined efforts at preventing a situation that developed involving transportation breaches as immigrants take action to gain access to subways and buses without proper fares--the matter has been tagged 'fair fares'- an expense that has been incurred by the city and state as many as 100,000 asylum seekers demand provisions being made to for their transportation. As these events transpired in the middle of the week, the city and state's most heinous events erupted into mayhem, on Thursday, it was as a number of Palestinians and supporters converged on the CU campus in protest against Israel and the ongoing war in that region of the world that New York Mayor Adams stated his support for the actions taken by CU President who called in law enforcement to take necessary action. After arrests had been made the Columbia University campus was returned to business as usual. Governor Hochul gave a statement during which she commented that she is 100% behind New York city Mayor, Eric Adams. Thursday's pro-Palestine incident quite apparently involved protesters' motivated 'march on CU-such that had been directly relative to the warfare between Hamas backed-Palestine and Israel. An added notch in the ongoing tumult, quite likely, involved protestors in opposing the veto of Palestine's request for UN statehood. While these events culminated into potentially growing peril in the United States, there are however, questions that remain unanswered in regard to the matter surrounding the man-on-fire in Manhattan.
