STATE & NATIONAL: On Wednesday, the Kansas City Chiefs victory parade was shattered by gun fire. The report from Kansas city , Missouri indicates that 2 gunmen opened fire into a crowd of spectators during the traditional victory parade. One person has been reported dead and 11 children were hospitalized as emergency technicians and police arrived on the scene.

A bloody Wednesday followed Sunday's Super Bowl--the victory won by the Chiefs , now, horribly marred by the gunmen who blatantly fired into a crowd, The majority of people struck by gunfire were minor children. A report made by Kansas City police chief Stacey Graves indicates that the gunman approached a crowd of spectators following the Super Bowl Victory Rally and celebration while the majority of spectators remained situated near Union Station. The shooting occurred in the late morning moments as the KC Chiefs celebration ended. KC police have reported that the count of injured people has increased from 10 to 15 with 3 people hospitalized in critical condition and one person attending the rally sustaining fatal injuries. KCPD Chief, Graves, today, stated that the 2 suspects have been detained as an investigation of the shooting continues. Police have not provided information about nor the identities of the assailants, however, the two that have been arrested remain in police custody.
