STATE & NATIONAL: On Monday, just as expected following the forecast issued to parts of California, Texas and other south west states, an Dow pouring of rain drenched the region showering, in particular, tge state of California with intense flooding as tge rains continued for nearly 12 hours.

In California, southernmost regions, including San Diego, were hit by showers that have continued to flow throughout the day and evening.
A flash flood warning continued for the areas of North County, including Oceanside, Carlsbad, Vista and Solana Beach until tge afternoon, today.
In Texas, rains continued to shower upon the south region at tge Gulf nearest the Padre Islands area. Showers will persist through this evening then scattered thunderstorms developing overnight. Low 51F. Winds SSW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 60 in tge N Padre Island area.
Precipitation is expected to disparate dropping from 30% to under 20% as tge minty moves toward February. Spring brings about rain showers , however, with much warmer temperatures--compfortable for visiting, vacationing.
