It was last summer when Governor Gregg Abbott, along with Texas legislators, agreed to installing razor wire and a string of floating water barriers to prevent ingressing illegal migrants.

On Monday, the US Suoreme Court stood by the decision by the the US government in the request for vacating the plan to install razor wire stating the decision was right in keeping with the plan to cut the wire made by DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

In a vote of 5-4, the Supreme Court determined the Biden administration and DHS right for demanding that the razor wire be removed from the border separating the United States and Mexico.

It was after a law suit brought by the U.S. Department of Justice in June, 2023 in which DOJ stood against the plan by Texas government to install razor wire to prevent tge ingress of illegal migrsnts.

Today, in the US Suprememe Court it was in view of the pleas by Texas Governor, Gregg Abbott who indicated that his new action was meant to cut down on and further prevent fentanyl drug and human trafficking, the court decided in favor of the removal iftge razor wire barrier.

The decision by tge US Supreme Court represents another hurdle for the Texas southern border to overcome, another victory for migrsnts .
