Biden & Sunak Discuss Red Sea Plans For Stopping Houthi Attacks


POLITICS: On Monday, US President Joe Biden spoke with UK Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak. Tge 2 western leaders spoke in regard to the cylurrwnt situation involving Houthi militia and their blatant misplaced aggressive attacks ahmgsinst cargo vessels and U.S. Navsl ships traveling the Red Sea.

Talks that were conducted between US President Joe Biden and British Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak reflected on both nation's leaders hope and plan for ending Houthi attacks against U.S. and commercial vessels traveling the Red Sea.


During today's talks, the the discussion involving the Iranian-backed Houthi attacks made agsinst commercial cargo ships, navsl and other vessels traveling through the global and economically critical Red Sea.


Biden and Sunak shared in discussing the perilous events surrounding attacks by Houthis . In the last weeks of strikes, Houthi strikes resulted in their attempts at intercepting and destroying. the freedom of navigation and international commerce,


Together, the US and UK have aligned with other allies to defend "...mariners from illegal and unjustifiable attacks..." Biden and Sunak restated tgeir commitment to end Houthi attacks and preventing further attacks from transpiring in the Red Sea in the future.

The discussions , also, led to comments concerning tge people of Gaza, Biden and a Sunak commented in regard to the importance of enduring humanitarian and civilian protection while, also. securing the release of hostages held by Hamas militia fighters.


Discussions included the defense of Ukraine during the ongoing plight against Russia.


Today, as a result of US and UK alliance with 8to 11 additional allies, it may be temporary, however, there has been no Houthi retaliation fighting in the Red Sea since January 18.
