International Court of Justice at Hague, Declined Request By Netanyahu To Dismiss S Africa’s Genocide Charge


US & GLOBAL; On Friday, UN officials reached Israel with an order stating that itbis Israel's responsibility to protect residents of Gaza against genocide.. In the course of issuing the order of responsibility to Israel, the UN International Court of Justice bares the jurisdiction to take into consideration the case brought against Israel by S Africa .

In the ICJ this week, South Africa slammed the government of Israel stating that their presence in Gaza had been that of ethnic group genocide and an intent to destroy masses of racially distinguished people.


In reaction to the claims made by South Africa's legal representative Ben Netanyshu, Israel Prime Minister, in a claim of antipathy, stated that S. Africa's charge is "...outrageous." Netanyahu requested tge case be dismissed.


Without much stated to to substantiate his rebuttal, Netanyahu received resistance from the Joan Donoghue, President ofthe Hague, Netherlands court, stated that previous testimony and statements made by Israeli officials would not be sufficient to permit to dismiss the case.


Donoghue, instead, issued a number of matters at Issue , instructing Israel to:


1). "Take all measures within its power to prevent the commission of all acts within the scope of Article II ofthe Genicide Convention. " The Genovide Vonvrnyion states that a crime committed with the intent to destroy a national, ethnic, racial or religious group, in whole or in part.


2). "Ensure that its military does not commit any acts descrivmbed in ..." the Genivide Convention


3). Take all measures to prevent and publish the of public incitement to commit genovide in relation to Palestine groups in the Gaza Strip.


4). Submit, by one month from the date of issuance, a full report on all measures taken to give effect to this order.


Israel officials stated tgeir government's commitment to international law is "... unwavering, " however denied all vlsims of genovide made by South Africa.
