POLITICS: It was only weeks ago when US President Joe Biden met and engaged in talks with Chinese leaders in regard to curtailing the influx of narcotics that have been flowing into the United Ststes. Today, the Biden administration engaged in the review of events that have emanated from the former talks held by the two countries leaders.

Today, the US--PRC begsn the steps necessary to take to engage in a Counternarcotics Working Group , designed by President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jingping in 2023. The WGC is a plant that will provide for the 2 national authorities to re-engage talks on counternarcotics efforts.
The resumption of bilateral talks that were set in motion during the Leaders’ Summit in Woodside, California in November 2023, will, now, carry forth the plans for preventing the flow of fentanyl drugs into the United States and around the world. The plan includes strategic efforts being made at ending drug trafficking while, subsequently, preventing the associated violence.
Strategies agreed upon include addressing essentisl steps to be taken by involving 'law enforcement, addressing misuse of precursor chemicals, pill presses and related equipment used to msnufacture illicit drugs, targeting the illicit financing of transnational criminal organization networks; and engaging in multilateral fora. '
Biden and Xi formulated a plan that would endure further correspondence while engaging in information sharing "...to ensure a common understanding of the dynamic illicit threat posed by synthetic drugs. "
The Bi-Jingping Counternarvotics Working Group "delegation was led by Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy Homeland Security Advisor Jennifer Daskal and included representatives from the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Justice, Department of State, the Department of the Treasury, and the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy."
