66 Year Old Customer’s Money Stolen by CVS Cashier & Backed By CVS Manager

THE WEEKENDER: Surprizes do occur when you least expect them especially when the surprise involves that which most consider a reputable company that literally steals cudtomer's money. One woman's story unfolds in the following comments in The Werkender.

On Saturday evening, an elderly woman patronizes the local CVS store. The woman , whose name she requests not to be disclosed , is a 66 year black woman who visited the CVS located at 4166. S. Staples in Corpus Christi, Texas.

We''ll call the woman who is, also, a widow, Ms Black.

Upon entering the store, Ms Black noticed thst no one was situated at the cashier's booth and so she looked around to see if she might call an employee over to the booth. After about 2 minutes, a male arrived from the back ofthe store weating a blue smock. The young man, an Hispanic male about 25- 30 years of age, greeted Ms Black and began to respond to her request.

Ms Black stated that she wanted to load a card and and provided further information along with $100.0 cash. The cashier(the young man) stated that he would have to handle the card to complete the loading transaction .

After handing the cashier the card, Ms Black, also, handed the cashier $100.0 dollars. The cashier , stated that he swiped the card, adding that the full amount would be $103.95. Ms. Black produced a 2nd card and was stopped by the cashier who stated that the fee payment would, also, have to be cash. Ms Black, then stated that the cashier should, then, deduct the $3.95 reload fee from the $100.0 dollars .

According to everything noticeable from the customer vantage point, the transaction appeared to be completed. The cashier returned Ms. Black's credit card and a receipt.

The surprise was experienced when Ms Black returned home and looked into her credit card app only to detect that nothing had been loaded on her credit card. Checking and double checking the app and later checking the card--the next day--for any sign of the deposit, Ms Black knew she had been robbed.

A return to the CVS to speak with the msnsger rendered no resolve. Ms Black asked to speak with the manager and was informed by the female in the picture that she is the manager of the CVS at 4166 S Staples. Corpus Christi, Tx.

An inquiry with "the manager" who claimed her name was Martha -- and picked a named out of the air; one that was pasted on her shirt-- Murillo. Therefore, speaking with "Martha Murillo" turned up one comment by the self professed manager "This has happened before....Call corporate." That was all she provided as a " msnsger." In all truth, most managers who had not known about the incident possibly because they were not on duty at the time eoukd certainly have inquire at all. " Unlike Murillo, who made no inwuiry at all. There was no where else to go with it-- she already knew about the incident and did NOTHING to remedy the matter. Was Murillo a conspirator? The answer : She quite likely was.

The young woman, albeit, indicated summarily, ' 'Yea, I got your money and, well, you can't prove that it wasn't actually deposited--I didn't come up short!.'

After realizing that these people working at the CVS had actually conspired to steal $100,0 dollars. the lurid crime would have to fit their punishment. Ms Black ssid whst dhe will go about their theft as she left the CVS 'Wont be nothin' nice!"

By the way, tge CVS Mnagerstated her name was zzMartha ir Marsha. Not only was the name a possible fraud, but the male cashier who completed tge transaction did not state his name on the recript. Instead tge receipt bears the name as seen above , " Kasandra." In fact tge CBS manager who claimed her name is Martha or Marsha also denied that her name is Kasandra.

A police report has been submitted in regard to the matter. Upon calling 911, tge information was provided to tge police dispatch who inwuitkred with Ms Black in detail.

The police dispatch completed his inquiry and stated that Ms Black had an option of receiving a call back on Monday to conduct a telephone police report Or. gage stated, she might, also, conduct a video call with the police .

Ms Black stated that either is ok and settled for conducting a telephone csll back report thst she should anticipate when she is contacted by phone by the police department on Monday.
