US Secretary General Lloyd Austin Returns To Walter Reed Military Hospital For Treatment

NATION: Today US Secretary General , Lloyd Austin III has returned to the Walter Reed Hodpirktsl for further treatment. A report from Washington indicates that Secretary Austin has transferred temporary duties to the US Deputy Secretary, Kathleen Hicks.

Reports from Washington, on Sunday, provide information of US Secretary Lloyd Austin's return to the hospital for treatment of a bladder condition.

Over the last month, Austin has been receiving treatment for prostrate cancer, a condition the Secretary has received ongoing treatment in and out of the hospital.

While, ,previously, Secretary Austin was concerned about maintaining significant secrecy about his condition, as a matter of official obligation, Austin's team has kept President Biden and Congress informed of his updated status and condition.

In regard to his initial hideouts k stay, Austin stated, "I should have told the President about my cancer diagnosis ..." adding that, at tge time he remained in recovery suffering with leg pain.
