On Tuesday, Mayor Eric Adams and other New York officials across the city shut down the sll facilities. Including schools on all levels, shopping centers .
At La Guardia Airport, 1400 flights were postponed. Subways and trains were, also, delayed. as traffic on the interstates backed up for miles.
Across New York snd south to the Great Lakes, the Midwest and beyond. and tge 3.5 inches of snow that fell on New York was predicted to continue in lower northern regions through Thursday.
From New York to New Jersey and North and South Carolina, 30, 000 homes remained without electricity. As the day faded into night, the NWS indicated that weather warnings would be lifted in several regions of New York however, travel precautions eoukd remdin extant.
