STATE & NATIONAL: Police in Washington County, Nebraska have arrested the man suspected of commiting the murder of the St John Catholic Church Priest in Ft. Calhoun, Nebraska during a burglary of the church parish. Kerrie Willisms was arrested Sunday following the brief investigation conducted by Wa. County police.

On Sunday morning at 5:am, Washington County police arrived at the St John Catholic Church after receiving a 911 call to respond to an attempted break in. Arriving at SJCC, Police were able to locate Father Stephen Gutgsell , and , also, locating Williams during at the scene.
Gutgsell was rushed to a nearby hoff St pitas suffering with apparent stab rounds. Washington Countybpolice stated that Father Gutgsell succumbed to stabbing injuries shortly after arriving for emergency treatment.
Police arrested Jerrie Williams hours after the death of St John Catholic Church priest, Father Gutgsell. Williams has remained in custody after having been arrested by Washington Vounty police on Sunday night.
