"The F-15 ASAT program clearly demonstrated one high-speed object -- faster than a speeding bullet -- could be guided to a precise impact on another, even faster object."--US Military Report

On Thursday, White House Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the National Security, John Kirby reported information concerning the status of Russia's attack satellite systems. Kirby stated that the Russian satellite system is not actively deployed. Kirby added that , while Russian plans gor deploying such satellite systems have not been formalized, "...there is no immediate threat..." in that regard.

Kirby stated that the Russian attack satellite systems are no designed to bring physical harm to human beings nor launch obliterating attacks on the earth. Based upon the apparent close monitoring of Russian systems by the US, Kirby indicates that specific threats to life may be non existent.

Corroborating the most recent information issued by US intelligence involving Russia's neckwear weapons attack systems, the US Military states, today, that the Pentagon has gathered decades of information on Russian nuclear systems. The U.S. military indicates that counter effects have long been established to combat Russia's nuclear space weapons.

Despite the dismissal by Kirby of the threat agsinst US systems in outer space, the White House states concern that Russia's emerging anti-satellite systems may create some serious measure of disruption of US military events in outer space.

Tge White House states some uncertainty surrounding the Russian anti-satellite systems and their nuclear content. While the uncertainty persists, so, also, lingers the possibility that Russian weapons would disable U.S. strategic satellites and, as a result, impact agsinst the U.S. economy.

The concern, on tge part ofthe United States, is the fact that Russian anti-satellite systems may be endowed with the proclivity to degrade government and civilian outer space facilities operations.

The U.S. military disputed any major concern for tge earth or the U.S. being placed in jeopardy by Russian satellite smattack systems. Military officials familiar with U.S. anti- satellite weapons for nearly 50 years indicate thst tge nation's F-15 ASAT program can strike a bullet even such a weapon moving at a faster pace that the U.S. weapons opposition.
