China Calls For Lift In Sanctions, Subsequently Defying U.S. Activities In Taiwan—The US Disagrees

US & GLOBAL: Today, as tge Chinese government puts forward a petition with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken surrounding the current status of sanction imposed on China over the last 3 years, Secretary Blinken stated on Friday that dialogue would continue between the U.S. and China to arrive at a decision.

It was last week , on Friday, when US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken spoke with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang during the Munich Security Counvil held in Germany.


During their discussions, Secretary Blinken heard comments made by Foreign Minister, Wang Yi who stated his disfavor with US sanctions that currently remain set against China.


A very insistent Wang Yi commented in reference to the urgent need China faces for having the US lift the sanctions on the Chinese companies and upon individuals following ingormation uncovereding allegations of mistreatment of U.S. personnel at the Xinjiang site in China.


Today, as China accuses the U.S. of weaponising "economic and trade issues, Xi alleges that tge U.S. has "...imposed bans on the sale of certain technologies to Chinese companies, citing national security risks."


In regard to the complaints lodged by China, the U.S. has given audience by way of hearing Xi's petition. Despite the please made to tge US Secretary Blinken to lift the sanctions, Xi took steps further to openly state that Tiawan is under Chinese control adding,"...tge United States should abide by the DA "...should abide by the one-China principle..."


Biden intercede as an examinaton of Ci comments were perused. The President started that he did not join with China in their comments. U.S. President Joe Biden has said the United States does not support the independence of Taiwan. The United States does, however, maintain unofficial relations with the democratically governed island and remains its most important backer and arms supplier.


In regard to China's position on Taiwan, President Biden stated that the US is not in agreement with China in its efforts at denying independence to Taiwan.
