KC Chiefs Celebration Shooting: KCPD Arrests Dominic Miller & Lyndell Mays In Murder, 22 Injuries


STATE & NATIONAL: On Tuesday, a report from Kansas City, Missouri provided information involving last week's deadly shooting committed during the moments that followed the KC Chiefs Super Bowl victory celebration. Today, KCPD has reported the arrest of two men who opened fire during the victory celebration, killing one person, injuring more than 20 people.

On February 13, the shooting committed by 2 men during the KC Chiefs Super Bowl victory celebration ended the life of KFFI's "Taste of Tejano," DJ, 43 year old Lisa Lopez-Galvan. Police arrested Lyndell Mays and Dominic Miller. shortly following the shooting after the two had been identified by wirltnesses.


According to the portion ofthe report provided by the Jackson County DAs office , the two suspects are currently being held in custody ofthe KC police department; juvenile division.


The report provided by KCPD indicates that Mays and Miller became involved in a verbal altercation--an argument that resulted in fire arms being pulled by both sides. KCPD did not indicate whether either Miller or Mays opened fire using the weapons found in their person.


Mays and Miller are charged with second-degree murder, unlawful use of a weapon and two counts of armed criminal action. Both suspects; Lyndell Mays and Dominic Miller, are being held on a $1 million dollar bond.
