STATE & NATIONAL:On Tuesday, a report from Polk Vounty, Texas disclosed the outcome of an Amber Alert search for an 11 year old girl. The child, Audrii Cunningham, was found , her body located near the Lake Livingston Dam at Trinity River.

Today, Polk County, Texas District Attorney Shelly Bush-Sitton has named a suspect in the apparent abduction and murder of 11year old Audrii Cunningham. Police reported the name of one man, 42 year old, Don S. McDougal, a resident who lived in a trailer in back ofthe deceased child's father's home.
The Polk County police reported events that led to locating the child's body stating Audrii missed her school bus on February 15. A report was made by the school indicating that Audrii Cunningham did nit attend school on the Thursday she was discovered missing.
The child, missing for 1 full week, was expecting to ride to her bus stop with McDougal, tge person Sudrii was last known to be with.
Police in Livingston , Texas placed McDougal under arrest on charges unassociated with the abduction and death of Audrii Cunningham.
Subsequent to the arrest, tge suspect had been charged with aggravated assault . McDougal is known by Livingston Police as having a history of offenses and arrest. Polk County, Texas District Attorney Shelly Bush-Sitton stated, today, that an arrest warrant will be issued in regard to the death of Audrii Cunningham which will result in charges included Capitol murder.
In a final investigation of Audrii's death, Polk County M.E. has indicated that an examination of the child will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
Along with her fellow students and teachers, Dr. Brent Hawkins, Livingston Independent School District, offered condolences as the community laments Audrii's loss.
