NATION: Last week, the small town of Burnsville, Minnesota was rocked by the news of the shooting that killed 3; 2 police officers and 1 firefighter. Following the call to a residence located in Burnsville, Minnesota, the three first responders who answered the call were Burnsville Police Officers, Paul Elmstrand, Matthew Ruge and firefighter/paramedic Adam Finseth. This week, Vice President Kamala Harris comments in regard to the ongoing fight against gun violence as the Biden- Harris administration presses Congress to pass new legislation that surpasses the current failing gun control laws.

Immediately following the news of tge Burnsville -3shooting deaths, Vice President Harris reacted, first expressing her sorrow over the loss of lives of three public servants who demonstrated courage in performing their duties. Vice President Harris, then, spoke in reference to the "...historic gun violence ..." action that she and US Predident Joe Biden have recently established .
Vice President Harris stated that while "...there is more work to do...," the Biden-Harris administration calls for • universal background checks, • red flag laws, and • assault weapons bans. new statutes contained in the President's Executive Order.
Just one week ago, Vice President Harris mentioned the effects of that which surrounds the actions taken by "...an aggressor...(who)...invades it's neighbor with impunity, Harris stated, " they will keep going." Harris. who made reference to Russian President Putin, described a situational climate that stand parallel to the ongoing gun violence in America.
Today, Harris stated, "...that means all of Europe woukd be threatened." What is , also, reflected in the Vice President's comments about Putin is tge state of gun violence and violent aggression brought against the American public. In this moment if blatant gun violence, at tge crux of the matter is that, just as any failure to stand up to Putin would render Europe and Ukraine in a state of total abandon, leaving the people completely open to violent aggression, it is this, the very same type of hostile aggression that , if the Biden -Harris administration does not stand up against gun violence and Congress fail to pass new gun control legislation, then, tge people of tge US public will face the total abandon THST, today, locks human lives into a place of jeopardy.
The matter gun control is not one that can be stopped by sweeping events on any level y Dr a rug. Vice Harris says, Congress must act to save lives." Vice President Harris states her and the remainder ofthe Biden Harris administration's stand on gun control as the one means of saving lives in America..
In her summary of Congress taking action on the matter of gun control is that being faced with choosing between the 2nd Amendment or passing effective gun control legislation -- Harris stated " it's a false choice..."
The Vice President stated that she and President Biden believe in the 2nd Amendment, but, also, maintain awareness that "...reasonable gun safety..." measure are , at this time , imminent.
